Delhi International Airport (P) Limited (DIAL) is working towards the modernization and restructuring of the IGI – Airport and has been given the mandate to operate, maintain, develop, design, construct, finance, upgrade and modernize IGI – Airport for a period of 30 years till 2036 with a further option to extend it by 30 years. Faced with the mammoth task of sustaining and expanding over such a large time frame, DIAL proactively sought to mitigate risks associated with management of software assets and to tap any potential loss of revenue by optimizing its software asset management processes.

As was one of the first organizations to undergo this exercise, and in addition to helping DIAL maintain its competitive edge by streamlining its IT assets, the certification would help DIAL to: Implement and maintain effective SAM processes and controls, ensure software compliance and license optimization, control costs, receive a two-year audit forbearance from audited software publishers, and reduce risk of IT security and data loss due to malware and unauthorized software, among other benefits.
